Covenant Worship Center (CWC) was birthed in 2002, the Pastors were ordained under Bishop T.D. Jakes under P.H.I.P.A. (Potter’s House International Pastor’s Alliance) of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas. As a thriving ministry in the Houston Metropolitan area with a growing congregation of families who love God we pastored from 2002-2006, saw many lives transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The name Covenant Worship Center came out of our commitment to God and each other. This covenant has kept us together for 25-years of marriage. God has never broke covenant with man, but man has at times broke covenant with God. “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people” (Hebrews 8:10)

In 2006, we realized that we could no longer pastor, because of the things that we endured in ministry. It has been 7-years of growth being tried by the fire but yet coming out on top!

Pastor Maria Taylor continued to work in ministry after a time of healing. As she matured in Jesus Christ soon the call became stronger and stronger. One distinct night at a conference she had an encounter that will forever change her destiny. She now understood the uneasiness that she had that there was more than what she was experiencing in her walk with God.

The dreams and prophecies told was about to propel her on a bigger platform. Not only did she fall in love with God, but she also fell in love with God’s people. She desires to see individuals achieve the highest level in God to walk in total victory and take back their rightful place as joint-heirs with Christ Jesus!

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity.

Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Belief Statement

CWC believe in the oneness of God, that Jesus is the Son of God as well as God manifested in the flesh here on earth and the Holy Spirit operating in the believers is essential for their growth.

CWC believe that the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:1) and the baptism in Jesus Name (Acts 2:38).

CWC also believe in the five-fold ministries, the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers (Ephesians 4:11-12).  We believe in prayer and fasting (Isaiah 58:11). We believe in tithing and giving an offering (Malachi 3:10-11).

God desires that His people walk in continual blessings as they are obedient to His word!

God is concerned about your present and your future not your past! That from your past you too can rise from the ashes of what the enemy meant for your destruction, that God will turn it around for your good!! (Romans 8:28)
